I totally agree with the LGE point but am unsure whether Koh Tsu Koon should be lumped in the same category. Anyhow, Tun destroyed a lot of consumer surplus due to his favouring of monopolies and protectionism, I believe most of his sons benefited from some form of mulitmillion ringgit privatization deal thru some way or the other; and this destruction of consumer surplus has done more to make business more challenging than anything Samy Vellu, Koh Tsu Koon or LGE could do either alone or combined. Just look at the car industry, each year it is costing the economy at least RM 5 billion excluding any multiplier effect, so imagine for the last 20 years how much damage it has cost.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
