THE INSULT AGAINST TUN DR MAHATHIR BY THE POLITICIAN YB AZMIN ALI IS AN ABHORENT ACT HEAVILY CONDEMNED BY THE YOUTHS OF MALAYSIA (MAYC)

  1. MAYC heavily condemns the insult against former MAYC Vice President and national icon, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, by the politician YB Azmin Ali when speaking at the PKR Gombak Branch Annual General Meeting in Ampang yesterday. YB Azmin in his speech referred to Tun Dr Mahathir as "individu yang sedang 'tersungkur' di Australia", or “the person who has fallen in Australia”, without due consideration of the feelings of Tun’s family, nor that of the majority of Malaysians of all races and religions who hold the former Prime Minister in such high regard.

  2. MAYC rejects such crass and abhorrent acts as displayed by the politician YB Azmin Ali made worse by his intention to contest for the PKR Deputy Presidency. As a leader and Member of Parliament, YB Azmin should be an example to youths where the behavior of a leader should be exemplary in its decency, even against a ‘political enemy’. This is among the core values that needs to be upheld, together with respect for the elderly, especially those which have sacrificed and performed great deeds to the nation such as Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

  3. The MAYC Executive Committee also pray for Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun Dr Mahathir’s health. May he quickly recover and be in the protection and grace of Allah SWT.
Sincerely,
Akhramsyah Muammar Ubaidah Bin Sanusi
Presiden MAYC Kebangsaan

A nobody like Azmin Ali who would give his wife freely to his boss proves that he has no morality whatsoever.

So just shut up.

Tell me something,MAYC
Where were you when Dato Nazri Aziz called Mahathir a "has been" as part of his criticism of Malay zealots Perkasa?
You gotta admit that the Mahathir today is just a pathetic shell of his former self

zakwan. There is a big difference being critical of Tun Dr M's actions as he acts as a leader or even icon, even disputing his iconic status, as opposed to being unkind to him when he is down with an illness that may prove life-threatening at his age!

We do not agree with DS Nazri's views of Tun Dr M, but respect his right to express his views within boundaries, admittedly testing them at times. However, Azmin's words at Ampang at the said evening was beneath even common decency.
