Tun Dr M Blames DS Najib For Bersih 4.0
Tun Dr M at a function in Pasir Gudang, Johor on the afternoon of Saturday, 29 August 2015, as the Bersih 4.0 gathering gains momentum at and around Kuala Lumpur's Merdeka Square, lays the blame squarely on the shoulders of DS Najib Tun Razak for the most recent Bersih demonstration. In his keynote speech, he laments that he does not usually agree with street demonstrations as there are more proper channels to resolve issues. However, in the case of Bersih 4.0, it has arisen and gained support as all channels to resolve issues have been blocked!
In Malay, Tun declares,"You report to the police to have crimes investigated, suddenly the one reporting is investigated!" Continuing in this vein, Tun Dr M decries the recent moves by DS Najib to shore up his political position, including the sacking of the AG TS Abdul Gani Patail and forced holidays, movements and retirements of members of the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission and the Police Special Branch to curtail efforts to prosecute the Prime Minister for financial crimes, linked to the 1MDB scandal.
Explaining the anger resulting in such strong support for the Bersih 4.0 rally, he encapsulates the anger and shame brought upon the nation by DS Najib's confession of receiving RM2.6B into his private accounts as a 'political donation', a claim thoroughly disbelieved by a majority of Malaysians. Reflecting on the suspicions in the minds of most Malaysians, he says,"Never before has a Prime Minister stolen any money... oh no, not steal, 'donation'." This anger towards blatant corruption at the highest levels of government Tun Dr M fears will lead to BN losing the next General Elections (PRU14).
Tun Dr M clearly zooms into the need to remove from office the person at the centre of the country's political and currency crisis, referring to DS Najib's use of the vulgar Malay word Bangsat recent,"Yang nak membangsatkan bukan UMNO, tetapi orang ini! ... Anda pergi, maka selesai segala-galanya..." In line with this, replying to a question by a retrenched MAS stewardess on whether she should continue to vote BN at the next elections, Tun Dr M replies,"Kita nak BN menang, tapi kita nak Najib kalah", laying the responsibility of rejecting DS Najib on his constituencies in Pekan, Pahang to 'save the country' from the sitting Prime Minister.
As DS Najib frets about Bersih 4.0, it is the gathering in Johor that will likely snowball towards his eventual removal from office, as UMNO's stalwarts plan to gather in KL, in growing wrath, for its General Assembly in the hundreds of thousands later in the year...

How Is Ayah?
Last Friday, I received a call from my father-in-law. He was asking about how Ayah was doing and was moved to do so as many of his friends had been asking him at the mosque after prayers. Worse still, some of Ayah's friends were asking and complaining that they couldn't get an update even from this blog!
Truth be told, Ayah sprung a surprise on me last Wednesday when he did not tell us he was being discharged from the hospital that day. For my siblings, news on this spread fast enough, but as I was occupied with work and the MAYC Buka Puasa event with Tun Dr Mahathir, I only just got to know from Ayah's friends among the MAYC Veterans who had tried to see him at the hospital in the afternoon only to find that he had checked out!
So, to all who have been following this blog for news of Ayah's progress, my humblest apologies. For your information, Ayah has been discharged from SJMC and is convalescing at home. He still needs much rest, and advice not just from his doctors, but THE Doctor, Tun Dr Mahathir, who reminded me as such on the same Wednesday Ayah was discharged. Those who wish to visit may sms his mobile (probably being sentried by my Nyanyak) or contact me.
I also would like to take this opportunity to thank the dedicated Doctors and staff at SJMC, or now known as Sime Darby Medical Centre at Subang Jaya for their tireless effort for which Allah S.W.T. has seen fit for us to have a further time extension to spend with Ayah. I reserve special mention for Dato' Setia Dr Anuar Masduki whose dedication, wisdom and sheer persistence dragged Ayah from edge of the abyss when those of us who knew suspected all may be lost...
As a family, we are ever grateful to Datuk Dr Anwar, his collegues and the staff of SJMC and thank them for their continued patience in managing the non-ideality presented by my Ayah's treatment and our family's managing of the situation.
Finally, thank you also to family, from Jakarta, Acheh, Subang Jaya and Yan, Ayah's friends spanning from Sweden, Medan, Port Dickson, Langkawi, Gombak to the Middle East, friends of us siblings, as well as total strangers who remembered Ayah's deeds well enough to gift him with at least the Doa so Allah S.W.T. may consider us worthy of having Ayah for a little more time. Your real and spiritual support, especially for those who came to be with us, we hold dear.
Some mention is due also to friends in both traditional and new media for carrying the news we wished carried... for the most part! We know it was not all ideal and forgive any minor failings due to the good that your efforts have brought outweighing the bad.
As to what happens now, we will be seeking further advice from Dato' Dr Anwar when Ayah has healed sufficiently. The rest will be in Allah's hands...

Another First For Tun Dr Mahathir: The First Visitor Ayah Could Speak To!
Nyak and I were just waiting to return to his bedside when who was to appear other than Tun Dr Mahathir himself! Fortunately also, Ayah was still wide awake when Tun arrived, hence allowing Tun the opportunity to be the first of Ayah's visitors able to converse with him since the procedure. The exchange was short, but we are grateful for the visit as Tun has advised REST as the ultimate cure. The effect of the visit has also been positive for Ayah's morale we think.
Unfortunately, my obesity was an item of discussion... for good reason... and which I endured nor just in good grace but happiness...

Campaign Against Reading Tun Dr M's Memoir
- "Why would you want to give Mahathir your money by buying his book?" This is by far the most ridiculous reason for not buying Tun's book. If you don't want to buy, just don't buy. Why worry about whether he makes money from the book?
- "The book is too expensive!" This is almost as bad as 1. and is used against Malaysians who don't usually buy biographies... or even books!... but would consider buying Mahathir's Memoirs. Let me say that the Memoir is among the cheapest biographies to be found and if the RM100 is still a problem, then SAVE UP or wait for the soft-cover version la.
- "Mahathir said this in his book, actually wrong, then he said, actually wrong, then this also he wrote not right... ad nauseum!" I actually saw comments like this in Twitter accounts of young PKR politicos. The problem is, the comments came just a couple of hours after the book was launched! I just replied - wow, you read the whole almost 1000 pages already ka can comment so much? There was silence in reply. They just pretended.
- "Mahathir is old news, no longer relevant. Better buy something on Najib or Anwar." The "better buy Najib" line is smart, making the statement seem reasonable and apolitical. I actually find this argument a little narrow-minded in nature. I suppose the same guys would have people stop reading about Prophet Muhammad pbuh, Buddha or Jesus Christ?
The arguments go on, but in the end, this campaign to stop people reading Tun Dr M's Memoirs are by those who either hate him, oppose his ideas, or worse, fear the truth that he may expose, or further expose about the leaders they themselves idolise... which is why PKR politicos and other Anwaristas tend to be the most anti to the reading of Tun's Memoirs.
Which is ironic, as in the end, those who hate Mahathir and believe they are right to do so should be the ones reading the Memoirs so as to gain more ammunition to attack him no? And in the end, the attempt to stop people reading on Mahathir is futile... his Blog is still well visited, and that is current!

THE INSULT AGAINST TUN DR MAHATHIR BY THE POLITICIAN YB AZMIN ALI IS AN ABHORENT ACT HEAVILY CONDEMNED BY THE YOUTHS OF MALAYSIA (MAYC)
- MAYC heavily condemns the insult against former MAYC Vice President and national icon, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, by the politician YB Azmin Ali when speaking at the PKR Gombak Branch Annual General Meeting in Ampang yesterday. YB Azmin in his speech referred to Tun Dr Mahathir as "individu yang sedang 'tersungkur' di Australia", or “the person who has fallen in Australia”, without due consideration of the feelings of Tun’s family, nor that of the majority of Malaysians of all races and religions who hold the former Prime Minister in such high regard.
- MAYC rejects such crass and abhorrent acts as displayed by the politician YB Azmin Ali made worse by his intention to contest for the PKR Deputy Presidency. As a leader and Member of Parliament, YB Azmin should be an example to youths where the behavior of a leader should be exemplary in its decency, even against a ‘political enemy’. This is among the core values that needs to be upheld, together with respect for the elderly, especially those which have sacrificed and performed great deeds to the nation such as Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
- The MAYC Executive Committee also pray for Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun Dr Mahathir’s health. May he quickly recover and be in the protection and grace of Allah SWT.

Analisa Hasil Keputusan Mesyuarat MKT UMNO 26/9/2008: Keputusan MENANG-menang Ala Pulau Batu Putih Untuk Pak Lah
Strategi Pak Lah Dipatahkan Keluhuran Perlembagaan UMNO
Tetapi benarkah begitu?
MENANG Najib Dan menang Pak Lah
Maka MENANGnya DS Najib kerana:

Ramadhan
He gave us Pak Lah with all that entails, including perhaps some late awareness of what we gave up when too many of us sighed relief at Tun Dr M's retirement... so however painful, Alhamdulillah...
May Allah provide us with more of the positives or the former and latter and none of the negatives of either... unless He deems the negatives to be best for us...

Racun Untuk UMNO... Sempena Ulangtahun Tun Dr M...

To Resign From UMNO Or Not To Resign From UMNO, That Is The Question...
It may disappoint and excite some to know that as of late last week, I had decided to be among those who are 'staying for now'. The reasons are various, as befitting a complex question for any long-time UMNO member, but up front, as I make no money from UMNO, I can duly declare that it has nothing to do with money. It does however have to do with:
- Mukhriz's decision. It would have been embarassing for me to stay in UMNO if Mukhriz had left. However, as Mukhriz has chosen to stay for now, I cannot leave and allow my action be used as yet another, albeit perhaps less significant barb, for UMNO's enemies within to use against him.
- The different battles between the generations in the on-going war. Note that the battle between Tun Dr M <-> Pak Lah <-> Anwar is a battle of the so-called 60+ generation. I am not part of that battle, but I am a small participant in the Mukhriz<->KJ battle of the 30's-40's generation. Whilst resigning is a key battle tactic of the 60+ generation, the time is probably not right for it to be applied for the younger generation in UMNO.
- The on-going sand-shifting among the Najib and Mahyuddin generation would be a key factor in whether Pak Lah survives, and that is developing in a positive direction. Already Mahyuddin is seen as a shoo-in for Deputy President, making Najib's declaration for the Presidency no longer a question of if, but when. The when he may choose to declare himself if Pak Lah's intentions to stay become clearer.
- In line with 2 and 3, if I and other UMNO 'youngsters' do choose to leave, we need to give meaning to the departure and make the event significant. Already we have heard of groups holding back from resigning so that a larger group of 'young' UMNO members may depart en-mass, in the tens of thousands, in a symbolic gesture of disgust should Pak Lah not resign.
So for now, I shall continue with my 'Duri Dalam Daging' activities to convince the mamoth, 'Tanduk Seladang Dalam Daging' that is Pak Lah to resign from the UMNO Presidency and from the PM-ship of the country...
Besides, it'd be more ego-boosting if I could get them to sack me...!
